Morocco’s annual consumer price inflation dropped to 1.1 percent in September from 1.7 percent in August as food price rises slowed from 2017, the country’s High Planning Commission announced.

Annual food inflation dropped to 0.6 percent in September, down from 1.1 percent in August, while non-food inflation increased to 2.1 percent from 1.9 percent.

The commission forecasts Morocco’s annual inflation will rise from 0.8 percent in 2017 to 1.7 percent in 2018 and then slow to 1.3 percent in 2019.
